About the Marshall Islands Social Security Administration and System

MISSA is a public corporation. Its seven-member Board of Directors is tasked with the management of the Social Security Trust Fund and each member is appointed by the President and Cabinet for a three-year term, eligible for re-appointment. The entire MISSA corporate structure is headed by an Administrator, who is also a Presidential and Cabinet appointee for a two-year term, eligible for re-appointment on a two-year term, eligible for re-appointment.
